New CRCs in Berlin and Göttingen

Bernstein members Eckehard Schöll and Tobias Moser head two new Collaborative Research Centers (CRCs), starting on January 1st, 2011 (December 2010).

Eckehard Schöll

Spokesman of the new CRC 910 "Control of self-organising non-linear systems: theoretical methods and application of concepts" is Eckehard Schöll (Bernstein Center Berlin and Technical University Berlin).

Tobias Moser

Tobias Moser (Bernstein Center, Bernstein Focus Neurotechnology and Georg August University Göttingen) is spokesman of the new CRC 889 "Cellular mechanisms of sensory processing".

The two new CRCs are among a total of eleven new CRCs established in January 2011 by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG), funded with a total of 94.4 Mio. € over the initial four years.
