Tobias Moser receives Ernst Jung Prize for Medicine

The Jung Foundation for Science and Research honors Tobias Moser (BCCN and BFNT Göttingen, University Medical Center Göttingen, German Primate Center, MPI for Biophysical Chemistry) for his groundbreaking work on signal transmission in the inner ear and his innovative therapy concepts for the treatment of hearing loss (January 2017).

With the Ernst Jung Prize for Medicine, the Jung Foundation for Science and Research annually awards scientists and projects that pave the way for medical therapies. The prize is endowed with 300,000 euros and belongs to the most highly remunerated of its category in Europe. Tobias Moser shares the award and prize money of 2017 with a second awardee, the structural biologist Nenad Ban from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at ETH Zurich. The prize giving ceremony will take place in Hamburg on May 19, 2017.
