Philipp Berens receives FEI Technology Award 2017 of German Neuroscience Society

Philipp Berens received the award for his work on using machine learning to define cell types in the nervous system. The award ceremony took place at the Göttingen Meeting of the German Neuroscience Society on March 23, 2017. At the ceremony Philipp Berens held a lecture entitled Towards a complete parts list: Multimodal data science in the retina.
The prize money of EUR 2.500, - supports young scientists up to the age of 35. Prerequisite is excellent research which is documented by publications. Furthermore, the candidates should work in a German laboratory or be a German active abroad.
