PhD Symposium

For the first time at the Bernstein Conference as part of the PhD Symposium we will introduce the “PechaKucha” concept of presentation.

“PechaKucha” is an event-format that has become extremely successful over the last 14 years and is now regularly held in over 900 cities all around the world ( Originally, it was devised in Tokyo as a platform for young architects. The format consists of several short presentations following the 20x20 framework: 20 slides, each being shown for exactly 20 secs (= 6:40min).

If you would like to participate, please register at  until 14.08.2017.

During the PhD Symposium, young researches will have the possibility to present an excerpt of their current work or related content using this format, combining meaningful slides with a well-thought-out talk.

The time restriction introduces a focus that helps both, presenters and viewers, as it requires a high degree of structuring and concise wording to convey the desired message.

If you need more ideas to how it could look like, visit the homepage, where you can find thousands of uploaded presentations from different fields from all over the world.
